Tim Young was born in Montana and spent a childhood in constant motion, learning early that home is something you build, not something you’re handed. He launched his first business at seven, a drive for independence that eventually led him to the international touring program Up with People. This experience turned his life of movement into a tool for global service. Following a career as a coach and massage therapist, Tim answered a deeper call to serve by enlisting in the United States military.
His journey was marked by profound transitions: surviving two deployments to Iraq, navigating the sudden loss of his father, and facing a medical battle that led to his retirement. Rather than retreating, Tim leaned into reinvention. He launched diverse ventures—from a service dog program to hydroponics—each teaching him the resilience needed for his ultimate mission.
Today, Tim is the founder of Last Word, a digital messaging card company that pairs physical keepsakes with QR-linked digital messages. Born from the words he never got to hear his father say, the business ensures no one else carries the weight of silence. Tim’s life has been a preparation for this moment, proving that the most powerful legacies are built on the words we leave behind.
