Jo McCabe is a proud female veteran, business owner, and the owner of Mr. Handyman® of Northern Virginia – Arlington to Haymarket, a locally owned franchise within the Neighborly® family of home service brands.

A U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Jo served as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer on active duty before continuing her service in the U.S. Navy Reserves, retiring in 2011. Her military career instilled a disciplined, mission-focused leadership style grounded in accountability, teamwork, and service to others.

After exploring careers in government service, contracting, and real estate investing, Jo transitioned into business ownership in 2008, bringing her engineering mindset and servant-leader philosophy into the home services industry. Under her leadership, Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia has become a trusted provider of residential and commercial repair, maintenance, and improvement services.

Jo is deeply committed to supporting the military community, leading an annual National Day of Service that has mobilized thousands of volunteer hours and contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in donated labor and materials to support local veterans. She believes that strong teams, a shared purpose, and service beyond the jobsite create a lasting impact.
