James Samuel Owens currently resides in Tucson, Arizona. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of faithful service to his country. Prior to his military career, he spent about 15 years in construction, where he mastered a wide variety of DIY building and construction skills. On a personal note, James is divorced after 30 years of marriage, a painful experience that broke his heart when his ex-wife threw away their marriage. He has four children from the marriage; his oldest daughter (31) and his son (27) currently share the rent on an apartment, while his two younger daughters (15 and 17) reside with his ex-wife.
A lifelong musician, James has played guitar for 35 years and also plays piano and bass. He loves to sing, dance, write songs, and jam with other musicians, having played in a few bands over the years. He also loves teaching guitar to his friends and loved ones, and enjoys all kinds of music, especially Christian music. His creativity extends to art, painting, drawing, and all types of arts and crafts. A self-described aerospace nut, computer geek, and technology enthusiast, James loves using his imagination to build and create things.
James stays highly social and active through gym workouts, running, and global travel, balanced by a love for coffee and sweets. In the 1980s, he was an avid skater who even rode half-pipes with Tony Hawk and the Powell Peralta team. Today, he loves restoring old muscle cars, dreams of a 1974 Hemi-Cuda, and closely follows Tesla and Elon Musk’s innovation. He is also a lifelong learner of psychology, astronomy, and esoteric knowledge. Deeply faithful, James loves God, attending church, watching hockey, and connecting with animals and nature.
