Erasmus Alexander is an artist and active-duty Air Force member whose passion for music, specifically singing, has been ingrained since childhood. With a background in church and school choirs, as well as experience directing various ensembles, Erasmus draws inspiration from a lineage of musical influence, including his great-grandmother, a choir director and songwriter. While serving as an aviator in the Air Force, Erasmus has traveled extensively, experiencing diverse cultures and cities around the world. Although military service temporarily paused his singing pursuits, he rediscovered his love for music in 2017. Joining the Congressional Chorus in Washington, D.C., he participated in notable productions and collaborations, such as the American Pops Orchestra's I Am What I Am and the Atlantic Council's Distinguished Leadership Awards.
Following the release of his debut EP in November 2022—which garnered two DC Wammie Music Award nominations—Erasmus was featured in the U.S. Air Force's Artisan Air series, highlighting serving artists. Embracing a newfound appreciation for life and motivated by his late grandmother's advice, Erasmus continues to pursue his musical journey.
