Douglas Petry began his technical career with the U.S. Navy Amphibious Force, where he served from 1978 to 1988. In 1990, he founded his own company, OneNet, and worked extensively within the banking industry, including designing the Bank Card Processing Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
After relocating to Texas, Douglas worked with Rick Scott in Fort Worth before joining the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) at its corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. During this period, he became a strong advocate for enhanced payment card security and advised Visa on implementing encryption chip technology on every card to improve security compliance and enable encrypted transactions worldwide.
