Dan Tolbert brings over 30 years of experience in strength training, sports performance, and personal coaching, shaped by a lifetime of discipline and service. A former Army Ranger and collegiate athlete, Dan began his professional journey in education, serving more than a decade as an Exercise Science instructor at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He holds top industry credentials, including certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Throughout his career, Dan has trained alongside and coached professional athletes, world champions, and rising competitors, while also developing thousands of athletes across multiple sports.
Today, Dan leads Tolbert Sports Fitness, where he provides personalized strength training, performance coaching, and recovery services for athletes and individuals of all levels. Known for his hands-on, disciplined, and encouraging approach, he helps clients build strength, improve performance, and recover from injury safely and effectively. From preparing student-athletes for collegiate competition to helping adults regain confidence and health, Dan’s mission is rooted in consistency, proper technique, and long-term success. His programs are designed not just to deliver results, but to create lasting habits that translate far beyond the gym.
